My name is Eugene Blakeslee. I have extensively researched the Blakeslee family back to Samuel in New Haven in the 1640s and published the results in several places. I have worked with David in the past and encouraged him to take the DNA test, which he did. I would say that he is really a Blakeslee, because his paper trail to Samuel seems reliable, but he is not biologically descended because his DNA does not match that of several others of us who participated in the test. What is incorrect about his post is the date and place of Samuel's birth. I have irrefutable proof that this is so and would be happy to elaborate if anyone is interested.
