Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/GNE.2ACEB/26.2.1 Message Board Post: Samuel did not, I repeat, did not come on the Hopewell, Raymond. This has been concluded and reiterated over and over. Only Thomas Blachley, who almost certainly was not a brother to Samuel, was on that ship. All stories and searches based on that totally incorrect assumption have caused endless confusion and repetition. The only possibly correct version of Samuel's crossing was stated without documentation by Edward Atwater in his 1902 book "History of the New Haven Colony". He said that Samuel was thought to have come to Guilford, Connecticut on the second ship. Nobody has been able to discover the name of that ship.
