I've "rescued" a group of 4 photographs of Charles H. and Blanche E. TUTTLE. All were taken at various studios in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The photographs appear to have been taken in the 1880's or 1890's, with Charles and Blanche likely in their teens or 20's at the time. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding this family: Charles Henry TUTTLE was b. 7 Dec 1860 in Bridgeport, CT to parents Henry Clay TUTTLE (b. 1830) and Cordelia BLAKESLEY (1834-1870). Charles was one of three children born to this couple including, Caleb Dudley; Ann Eliza; and Charles Henry TUTTLE, all born between 1854 and 1860. Charles married Elizabeth Blanche or Blanche Elizabeth WHITE (b. May 1872 in PA) in 1890 and together they had two daughters, Elsie M. TUTTLE b. 1891 in CT and Mary N. TUTTLE b. 1892 in PA. All the BLAKESLEYS I can trace come from NORTHAMPTONSHIRE, from the village of OLD (spelt WOLD earlier than mid-nineteenth century), but . Many migrated to BRADFORD in West Yorkshire from around the 1860s, but I believe that some moved to the DEWSBURY area possibly as early as the 1820s. I can find no obvious connection.
