Looking for the marriage of the two above. They were living in Illinois at the 1880 US Federal census. Had two sons John William & Charles and daughter Althea by 1883. Agnes was born in Baraboo, Wisconsin in 1855 the daughter of Scottish parents (George Baff & Mary Drysdale). George, a miner, was killed in the Lacon mines, Illinois in Oct 1856. I believe that Mary had 2 children William and Agnes, when she remarried an Irishman Charles "Sava" and then had a daughter Mary in 1859. The family are found in Steuben, Marshall, Illinois in 1860 US Federal Census, all with Sava surname. I picked up the death record for Agnes in Cook, Illinois in 1941 and was able to track backwards. Can find no trace of other Sava household members after the 1860 census, possibly due to the fact that "Sava" was purely the enumerators interpretation of the family name. Can anybody help me unravel the riddle of the name ? Find the marriage record for Agnes and Jacob? .....or locate modern day descendants of the couple .....? Thanks, June Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
