I know that Surnames were often used as a first name, and I have a Blair family in Glasgow, .... Alexander Blair (soldier in 41st Regiment) married Agnes Todd , Their son Alexander born 1792 married Christina McLean, these 2 had a son James born 1840, witnesses were Morrison Blair and James Blair, I know its a long shot, but Morrison is quite an unusual name!
