Reason: I recently looked through a microfilm for DeKalb County Marriages, and I didn’t find James and Sarah. I remembered some of the Wright’s I did find (Milton was one). Then I found “Alabama Marriages, 1800-1920”. There I found over 30 James Wright’s, but none listed Sarah Goza as the bride; whereas I found Milton Wright (searched only for groom and the bride listed was the same person I had seen in the microfilm. I still think that three-year-old Sarah has more than a “fighting change” to be my grandmother. Unresolved questions: Dad never mentioned anything about hospital care. What was the medical care for pellagra? Would a widow from a very poor family travel over 140 miles for hospital care? Are there any DeKalb County genealogists who have a good handle on what medical care there was like in the 1890-1910 period? Remember letters from Aunt Dovey circa 1951-1954 from Magnolia Springs, Alabama.
