    1. [BLAIR-L] Re: CC BLAIR
    2. No, my Charles Culpepper Blair did not have a son named after him. I have all of his children listed below: Sarah Jane "Sal" Blair, 3-27-1848/4-17-1937, m. Berry Moore "Coon" Keith. Nancy Ann "Nan" Blair, bet. 1851-1865/1-13-1932, m. James W. "Jim" Dunn. Melzora "Mel" Blair, 5-1-1853/4-1-1944, m. Joseph Badger "Hog Joe" Smith. Philadelphia Catherine "Delph" Blair, 12-15-1855/11-5-1945, m. George Roane Upshaw. Charlsie Clair Blair, 4-4-1857/4-2-1945, m. Alfred "Alph" Reeves. Owen N. Blair, 6-18-1860/1-3-1954, m. Texanna "Nan" Ridgill. Mack/Mark Blair, bet. 1862-1867/d. unknown, m. Nannie Daugherty/Dougherty. Adeline Blair, 1865/5-7-1887, m. Jim Mitchell and Unknown Bailey. Floyd/Loyd Blair, 7-6-1869/2-6-1954, m. Cora Lee Mankin. Another Mail child. Another Unknown Gender child possible. Looks like my C.C. Blair & Mecca Reeves were m. 1-5-1845 in Carroll Co., GA. Their first three (3) children were born in Alabama and the rest of the children were born in Erath, Eastland and Parker Counties. 1. [BLAIR-L] CC BLAIR
    2. Charles & Mary Blair
    3. Back in June of this year, there were several items concerning a Charles Culpepper Blair. A Mary Jo wrote: Looks like my C.C. Blair & Mecca Reeves were m. 1-5-1845 in Carroll Co., GA. Their first three (3) children were born in Alabama and the rest of the children were born in Erath, Eastland and Parker Counties. While I was looking thru some old research papers of my own, I came across a little info about him. In " A Place Called Blair" it states that Fort Blair which is located in Desdemona, Eastland Co, TX was established by Charles Culpper Blair in 1857. During the Civil War, it was a settlement of 12 log cabins 14 ft. square and spaced 14 ft apart.. These families cooperated to defend themselves from frequent Indian raids. I hope this helps those interested in the whereabouts of Charles Culpepper Blair in the years around 1857.
