It is important to research SC division and history of counties and Districts....to know that the 1790 census listed the District people lived in, not the counties included in that district and the 1800 census listed the actual county. Knowing when counties and Districts formed will help in your research. SC can be a very complicated state to trace the whereabouts of ancestors.Often they didn't move, the county changed.
