The James Blair you mention below was born March 6, 1761, not 1721.  He was the Express Rider who went to get the Over-the-Mountain-Men who fought at Kings Mountain.  A poem was written about young Jimmy Blair, an he later became a Col. and established the Blair Linein Georgia, which was the border between the Indian lands and the Anglo land at that time.  One of Col. James Blair's cousins, Tennessee Blair married Major James Martin Rush an they came to Texas in 1845, making me elgible for membership in the Sons of the Republic of Texas (SRT).
