She was born in Philadelphia and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Lemon Grove. Survivors include her daughters, Maureen Heath of Jacksonville, N.C., Kathi Ward of San Diego and Denise MacShane of Saudi Arabia; sons, Robert and Gavin; brother, James McKiernan of Philadelphia; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
