Hello, I am new to this list. I have a g-g-grandmother Lucinda (Blair) Pate. According to her death certificate she was born 1 Aug 1850 in Virden, Illinois (I haven't been able to verify this). She died in Cass Co., IL on 20 Feb 1920 and is buried in Virginia, IL. Her father is listed as Robert Blair born in Ireland. Her mother's name was not given, but a birthplace of Ireland was also listed for her mother. The only other information that I have on her is that she married Jerry Pate on 24 Aug 1869 in Sangamon Co., IL. I'm already at a brick wall--and so soon in the search for my Blair ancestors.
