How did you find out about Etowah/Cherokee counties? I have a lot of Blair material, I was at one time one of the officers of the Blair Society. I remember hearing about a George Washington Blair. I believe he is from Alabama but in the mid or south part of the state, Cherokee is in the NE part. When I have time I will dig into my Blair files to see if I can find him.
