There is a note that he might have gone to Australia as at least two of his brothers did. No indication as to marriage. Alexander Blair, born about 1820-1825, Dalry; son of David Blair and Leslie Cruikshanks. There is no indication that he went to Australia but at least one of his brothers did. Archibald and David were sons of Archibald Blair and Margaret Muir. There are a couple of Blair cousins in Australia now that might be able to provide more information if they see this list. There is a Thomas S. Blair and his wife Margaret T. buried in our cemetary. Thomas was b.8/8/1836 d.1/15/1913 and Margaret b.3/21/1840 d.3/31/1906. There is a Sabella Blair, wife of John Blair just says she died 1/25/1884, 77y 5m 28d. There is a Martha Blair Livingston b.8/6/1875 d.1/9/1963 buried here, too. She is the daughter of Thomas and Margaret, I think her sister, Bessie Blair married Reverend J.J. Long around 1903 in this area. Martha Blair Livingston married Daniel G. Livingston and had several children their home is still standing in this area. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Her date of death appears to be incorrect, however. She is listed in the 1870 census with Joseph, Abram and Elizabeth, who were both apparently still single. Another child, who I have distant ties to, was Mariah Blair, born abt 1806, date of death unknown. She married a Nicholas Doyle (1806-1860) on 9 Aug 1831 in Huron County, Ohio, and they each died in Champaign County, Illinois. I will certainly check out that cemetery for my ancestor(s). There is another large Blair family that settled in Cooke County and I think a Blair Cemetery in Grayson Co. Perhaps they are part of Leonidas Blair's family. That name seems vaguely familiar and I have searched every single cemetery in Cooke County and the Blair Cemetery in Grayson. Thanks again for your help. kacy Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. In my last post I said Alexander Blair, born 1724, Kilwinning. That should have read Archibald Blair, Alexander's father. This Alexander was born 1774 from Archibald's second wife Margaret Muir. He married Mary rankin in 1795. I'm not sure of his place of birth (possibly Kilwinning) but most of his siblings were born in Dalry Archibald had two brothers that I know of, Mathew and Hugh, but there is very little information on them and nothing on marriages or children. I'm sorry but I don't see Barbara or Catherine in any of the lines I have information on. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
