Thomas Blair is buried at (New Chapel) and Martha Blair Livingston is buried beside her husband there. I dont know if Thomas was her father or uncle. Nannie Livingston (she was Martha Blair Livingstons sister in law) married Rev. J.J Long, she died after a few years and Rev.J. J. Long married a Bessie Blair from this area about a year after her death. I think Bessie and martha were cousins, Bessie taught school at Deadfall school. Deadfall is the name of the road that runs from Silverstreet to New Chapel Church Road . Martha and her husband lived at the crossroads of deadfall road and hwy 121, their house is still standing there 2 story white. Silverstreet is very little anymore besides a Post Office, Community Center & Volunteer Fire Department. When you turn off Deadfall Road on! to New Chapel Road you will think you have stepped back Into 1800's which is when New Chapel was built it is registered as an historical church. I think Thomas's wife remarried and she and their son are buried at Silverstreet Lutheran. I will go back and read and let you know if you would like and I think Bessie Blair Long is buried somewhere in our area with her husband I will check that too but he was transferred to a church in NC after he married her I do know that. Hope this is helpful. We are working on our old church records will see what can find. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. When I found the Pace family also was listed on an Indian registry, I thought I had found the answer to my grandmother's having a Cherokee Native American mother. According to her oldest son, my uncle, he told us this about Sarah S. A. E. Blair, my great grandmother. My grandmother said nothing about it as being part native American was considered a shame. I also found that several Blairs and families lived or died ion Oklahoma on reservations. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
