Pamela I did read your whole email, and I enjoyed reading your viewpoints. We are on the brink of war tonight, and we should all say a special prayer tonight and hope for peace. I too beleive that we should get rid of Saddam. Yes, I do know about security issues in the United States, and some things have to be top secret with our government, why do you think they have spys from other countries looking at America all the time/ Yes, the times look troublesome, but the American people can overcome it. Pamela it was on this list that we dicussed the gulf War illness, which I believe is very real. I think our country is doing a great job of caring for its people also. Look at the habitat housing, medicaide, and socail security. What other countries have all that aid for their citizens? America is truly a land of opportunity.. I too have ancestors like many others on this list that were engaged in the American Revolution and the Civil War, and we should be proud of all of them . Yes, I know quite a few MIA's some were my friends husbands and many prisioners of war., and a favorite freind from Georgia that is a proud business owner today that was shot down during World War II and a former prisioner, as well as family that were injured from the war. No, it is not a pleasantt thing war., but sometimes it is necessary to protect all human mankind in America and other countries as well from a madman like Saddam. I did enjoy reading your viewpoints, however it will not stop me from supporting President Bush and our troops at this time on the brink of war. Lets hope tomorrow will bring better news, but I don't think it will. Bettye
My brother just returned from a conference in Washington DC, Said that it looks like the security has really been built up there. Police cars with flashung lights at every entrance to the Pentegon. Construction at every cornerlooks like it is built for weapons. It sure does look like War!
