    3. Oh Lucinda, What you don't know is that what this group loves is a good search and find. Keep on talking. You are narrowing the looking field with ever post. Some of these people are so experienced that you will be amazed at how fast they may find him. Just keep talking. Any details about what specifically he did with Rickenbacher will help because I believe his units are pretty well documented. And he had the Blacksheeop squardron, didn't he? Keep on talking Ozzie girl and I bet we find your dad fast! Tell us every thing you can remember. You are not alone! What fun! I really should try to materialise some cash to get over there myself and look, unfortunately I can't think how to get my hands on enough of it. Wish he was still around, he'd have some ideas I'm sure. Then again that could be dangerous! > > Lucind > >

    3. Pamela, thankyou for your enthusiastic response to my mystery father posting. I am always appreciative of the help that I get at this list and your message really cheered me. I am enthused again so I will get my work here at home finished so that I can spend lots of time again on it. I will post all details, but I expect that it will be too time consuming for most people to help with. I know from my experience so far. I'll post it in the next day or two and maybe get some suggestions from all you listers because I'm sure there are places I haven't looked yet. I got the application form off to NARA for military details but I don't know how long it will take. They lost a lot of information in a fire I think, so that could be another problem. I also have to get back in contact with Chicago Uni and hope for help there. Dave, I checked the Toronto Star link thankyou. They don't have what I need which I'm pretty sure is the Washington Post 1925. At ancestry.com they have Washington Post 1924. Hopefully they might add more years. It is very time consuming downloading pages and looking for a photo. I got through three months of 1924 then a friend wiped my cookies and I didn't have a record of where I was up to so I lost heart for a while. I won't let anyone tamper on my computer again and I'll make notes next time. Thanks all and thanks Jeff for being a the coolcat listkeeper that you are, it has been interesting to read all the different views of recently. Lucinda :)
