I have never looked for anyone famous, I thought they all were, many are LDS Pioneers of 1847 and two were members of the Mormon Battalion. It wasn't until 1992 that I ran into the Royals and was able to verify, sketchily, that I have Mayflower Ancestors. I was at the Ogden Family History Center gedcomming one line and ran into the Royals. I started laughing and haven't stopped. This was entirely unexpected.
