James Dagley, II had two brothers, Benjamin Franklin Dagley and John Jacob Dagley. Both were in the War of 1812. Three sons of John Jacob Dagley came to Texas and were part of the early history of Texas (my home). One daughter, Elizabeth Dagley, married late and married Jonathan Boone, older brother of Daniel. It was her first marriage and his third. They never had children, although Jonathan had children by his first two marriages. One of his sons, Joseph Boone, married a daughter of Thomas. Old Daniel Boone left his home in Kentucky in his late 80's and walked to Ray county, Missouri to visit his brother, Jonathan, for the last time. Elizabeth didn't know he was coming and spotted someone with a feather in his hat down at the well getting a drink and drew a bead on him with her long rifle.
