    3. Hi - the names Patsy <patsygal@hotmail.com> shared below rang a couple bells! A couple - father named Clarence - had a son Clarence Jr. - now the wife called her husband Chuck --- that made many people think his first name was actually Charles! Their son who was the 'junior' was called Dusty. When I read the name, "Snookie", in the msg. --- memory! Don't know if many of you are old enough to remember "Your Hit Parade" or "Lucky Strike Hit Parade" of early TV years. But there was a Snookie Lancing/Lanson who was a 'regular' on that musical show. I've known of v-e-r-y big, and tall, men being called Tiny; people from Ireland (or with recognized Irish surnames) being called "Irish"... and what about the old joke: in the early years of their marriage, the wife referred to her husband as him being the "Greek God" she married --- after a few years she referred to him as that "God Damn Greek" she married Go figure! Sr., who had a beautiful head full of black, wavy hair--, etc.> Jr. on the other hand, was nicknamed "Snookie" by his maternal grandmother (same one who nicknamed Sr., "Baldy")etc.... we were calling him Snookie until he died at age 49 in 1987. _____________________________
