    1. [BSChat] Schools situation- Yesterday's Meeting with the Superentendant

The second bus was "right on time" instead of being 15 minutes late, and I actually got Jimmy to school on time. The next phase he saisd was to get the kids to school in time for breakfast. After that he says he will find a way for Jimmy to be bussed from our Park instead of from a bus stop a mile from it. (I have been taking Jimmy to school daily). I had to explain to the superentendant several times that when the "Blue" track is OFF the busses stop coming for two of the kids. (My kids are on Three Tracks, Red, Blue, and Yellow). He stated he doesn't know why, but will investigate. He said that he will be out of town for several days and will order the "Special Services " to fix the problem. I told him that the "Special Services" were the problem. I also jumped all over him for a 2 month lack of response to my letters, and a failure to comply with the Federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section II.(ADAII) I also gave him a copy of a letter from the State Board of Education that interpreted the ADAII as requiring students with ADD/ADHD to be Bussed, with additional trained personnel ON the bus, from Door to Door. My wife and I explained that the situation was placing uncommon hardship on our family, and even though one of our sons is "Mobile" and can walk without problems, he is an "at risk" child, and due to failure to thrive we will not send him on a mile long walk to the Bus Stop by himself, on Route 66, during Rush hour. He also seemed to understand that I caould not physically take him, because of my disability, and that the current schedule required him to be on the Bus at the same time his twin is to be picked up a mile away. He says he doesn't understand why my older son is picked up at my home and HIS bus goes right past Elizabeth's school at the proper time for her to be there in time for Breakfast, and he doesn't understand why she isn't on it with him. (Steven is picked up at 6:30 AM) Over-all after two months of NO response, and finally I going into the School district offices and making a lot of Noise ( Security came and got me), something is finally moving. Jeffery G. Scism, IBSSG Despite resistance by others, he heroically pursued his goal of mediocrity.
