Judy, I am happy you finally got a dog. One of the best dogs I ever had was a lovable mutt, part Collie and part German Shepherd. He was such a wonderful dog and I still miss him even after 25 years. We called him Charlie Brown, the best dog in town. We lived in a trailer park and someone had been stealing my gas about twice a week. So this one night when I came home I backed into my driveway rather than pulling in like I usually did. I tied Charlie Brown to the back bumper with a big bone to chew on and went on to bed. About 3 am I heard Charlie barking and growling and someone yelled lets get the hell out of here. I looked out the window but by that time they were gone and they never stole my gas again. Charlie sure earned his dog food that night. I did buy a locking gas cap though as I always felt better with Charlie in the house at night as he could hear better than I could. I love cats but dogs are great. Heck I love just about all animals, even the squirrels that eat the bird seed I put out LOL. Gail in La.
