Hasn't used cable or home networking is almost but not quite the universal status of people who've written me they've had no problems with Earthlink. I myself could never get through to customer service inside of 40 minutes when I had dial up access and this is a common complaint about Earthlink. They've been supposed to fix it for a year or two now. If you are somehow home instead of at work at 9 AM you can often get through quickly. One guy reported he had to work at it for months to get Earthlink to even install service! There are also a myriad od complaints all over the place about people unable to resolve customer service problems because unable to find the right department or whoever they talk to can't find the records of whatever.
