Only to have my new husband suddenly turn and tell me to stay still...the wretched thing was curled up at the base of the tree on whose roots I was standing!!! < Gracious!! That sounds like a real adrenalin pumping attention getter there!!! :=(( Are these poisonous? Of course, ALL snakes can inflict some rather painful bites but not all are poisonous--thank goodness. Still, I'd rather they find another place to play!!! Best, SueB

    3. Poisonous???.....My Word yes!!!.....not one of Australia's deadliest, but nasty nonetheless!!! I believe our deadliest is one they call the Fear snake....carries enough venom in one bite to kill 200 people!!! Is found in the far north/and Western Australia areas. Snakes of any description have, for years, since that episode, been avoided with gusto!!! Peg R NSW Australia [email protected] Don't worry about avoiding temptation. As you grow older, it will avoid you. Checked by Norton's AV

Ok, so, let me get this straight... you *chased* a 6' long *poisonous* snake into the brush? Woman, you've got more guts than I do!!!! ROFL Best, SueB
