Thanks Sheepers, you came thru for me again. I got 8 cans of the store brand tomato juice and it worked. I wet her hair down first thinking that it would absorb the juice better if it was wet. Then I used an old sponge to work the juice thru her hair (or should I say fur) anyway I got the job done. She stood quite still for me, but I had her on a leash so she couldn't run off, but you should have seen the look she gave me when I started putting that tomato juice on her. Like she was saying what are you doing to me LOL. I didn't know if I should let the juice soak in her hair or not but I figured it wouldn't hurt for a little while. Then I rinsed her off and shampooed her and rinsed her again and dried her good. I let her run around the yard a bit and the first thing she does is go roll in the dirt after I had her so clean. Go figure. What an interesting Sunday afternoon but not what I had planned. I'm glad this didn't happen to my cat or I might not have survived as she hates a bath. Gail in La.
Hi Gail! So glad to hear that the tomato juice did the trick for you. Sounds like you handled the chore well and the wetting the hair first was a good idea. Forgot to mention on my original post that I had also done that and let the t.j. soak in for awhile. Ya done good, gal! ;-) Best, SueB
