Take a peek inside a million dollar home OKLAHOMA CITY, May 14 - It's a beautiful home hidden away in the middle of Nichols Hills. The setting is calming, peaceful and serene -- almost like you're in a quaint Mexican village. Once you enter these handcrafted iron gates, your journey into old world Mexico begins. The patio is Cantera stone. It's made in Mexico. It was all brought from Mexico, carved especially to go here. The fountain is four women. They look like they're down at the river washing clothes or doing some sort of chores. As you enter this 6900-square-foot Mexican mansion, you'll notice the arched doorways and windows. It gives a very peaceful, comfortable feeling. Curves are always more interesting and more comfortable than straight doorways. In the living room there is a fireplace with serpents holding up the mantle. "I've been collecting things from Mexico for probably about 20 years. The serpent heads were actually carved in Mexico," said Sally Harry, the home's owner. The kitchen has a lot of counter surface, all granite. The floor is wooden dowels surrounded by the Cantera stone. Now, on to the master bedroom, where there are two big double doors entering the master bedroom. There's metal inlay in the doors. "We weren't sure how we were going to use these when we bought them but it turned out that they made a great insert into the wooden doors," Harry said. The TV comes out of a piece of furniture at the foot of the bed. And, of course, it's turned on to Oklahoma's NewsChannel 4. When people walk into this bathroom they are just stunned. The master bathroom is a circular room surrounded by windows featuring a most unusual mermaid fountain in the center. She makes the most restful sound. She's very peaceful and quiet, it makes great sleeping you feel like you're at the beach or a mountain stream going by. The patio is off the living room. It's very quiet and peaceful and a very nice place to live. One more note: the marble floors in one of the bathrooms are heated.
