I had a heart attack in 1994 and was in the hospital a week. The first morning the doctors made their rounds they were all standing around me discussing my case and deciding how to best treat me, and one doctor said, "Before we can do a thing for his heart we need to get a handle on that infection". Another doctor said, "What infection ?" and the first doctor responded, "He's sweating like a hog, can't you see it ?" Turns out that one overnight stay in intensive care gave me a staph infection. So they bombed me out of my mind with a morphine drip to keep my heart pain down while the infection medication did its job, then they worried about fixing the heart. Heck of a situation ! Dot is right, I avoid hospitals like the plague, pun intended ! Hospitals are where all the sick people are at, the residence of germs and diseases. Jack Childers in OKC
