No, Westerfield had no record. I was surprised at that. Jack says that the average molester is 45 (Westerfield was 49 when he was caught), but I'm thinking that being a molester and being caught as a molester are two different things. Who knows how long this sort of thing was going on. And the longer they're at it, the worse their odds of not getting caught. I figured he just went too far this time. But, so far, no one else has come forward as a victim, so... maybe his fantasies just got out of hand. I have noticed, however, that Westerfield's 2 kids have been conspicuously silent and out of sight. I've only heard one person speak in a positive way about him and it's a friend he hangs out with and has known for 25 years. And that made me wonder about that guy, too!
