    3. Hi Mike No problem, and I do know what you mean. But, rape doesn't always happen with a male body part. That's why castration (surgical or chemical) doesn't help. You never know what new idea they'll want to try. I don't know how old a man has to be before he's not considered a threat anymore, or what disability there would have to be. I don't want to support the perverts in a jail or hospital either, lobotomized or not. But, unless they kill someone, our laws don't presently allow us to kill them. So--what to do? They get out in 5-15 years as it stands. Sometimes less. And if we don't know who they are and where they are, they keep doing what they've done. There is not SATISFACTORY cure for pedophiles, since we're talking orientation modification, and the only way I can think of to affect that would be a partial lobotomy. Which, of course, would render the offender incapable of endangering mankind, but would also relegate the individual to be a ward of the state for the remainder of their lives. I don't know about Ms Garland, but I certainly wouldn't wish to support that slime forever! Since I speak from the prospective of someone who got their psychological training in the ministry, I'm undoubtedly slanted toward that point of view, but I would think that as they age the male molesters in particular would prove to be less of a threat due to physical limitations due to their longevity. This does not mean that I think they should wander the streets with other people to whom they might be a danger, I just have to believe (maybe because I can't look on humans as inherently evil) that at some time in their dotage they would be rendered physically incapable of doing harm. Child molestation is certainly a concern for me, as well as anyone else, since I have 8 grandchildren, and will soon have ggrandchildren, in addition. You needn't respond to this if you don't wish...I just feel the need to vent sometimes ;-). Mike IBSSG > [Original Message] > From: J.
