Whitewolf, I have a Bakersfield connection. My father moved to Bakersfield after he and my mother divorced (once before I was born and again right after I was born). He married another woman and raised my sister in Bakersfield. I first went to Bakersfield when I was 14 or so. I have bad memories of Bakersfield. Too many cotton patches, potato fields, too many dairy farms. Went to Kern County High for a while. Moved all around Bakersfield area, Oildale, Shaftner, Pumken Center.
