I worry about someone molesting my daughter and keep my eye on the males of her friend's family. On a trip to visit relatives in Iowa we went to a small town, 2000 population. The cousin we stayed with told us early on in the visit that two doors down lived two men, father and son, who were convicted sex offenders of little children. I thought it was pretty good that in a town that small that everyone in town knew of the men and their activities. The whole town watched them ! I didn't worry so much about Kade being molested by the two men because of the scrutiny given the men. I heard later that the men moved to a larger city because everyone in the small town watched them too closely. I bet they didn't get such close scrutiny in the bigger town. Jack Childers in OKC

You know it isn't just the males that molest little ones. Also it just isn't little girls that get molested. I know that this is going to sound really bad but here goes, It is too bad that they segregate the molesters and put them in a different level in the prison system. There are to many lifers inside that have children on the outside that they can't protect. I know that there are people who have been accused of molesting someone who in fact did not. In fact studies have shown that if you a young child something several times (I forget the number) they will incorporate what you tell them into their story. So the people who do the investigating of indecent liberties have to be very careful, not only of protecting the little one any more trauma but to make sure it is the truth.
