Aleta - aren't you glad your kids are grown? I sure am ! I wasn't the best Mom, probably, because I had a short fuse, and insisted my rules in the house were "etched in stone." I had never planned on being a Mom in my lifetime. It was something I didn't think about. When the Dr. told me I was *expecting* I went "Uh?" I always told my kids when they were about 10-12 yrs old, that: "God didn't give me an instruction manual when you were born, so don't expect me to understand your behavior...." And it stuck with them... Every once in awhile one of them will say: "Mom didn't have an instruction manual."
