You see, Kathleen is a free spirit, regressing, if I may, to the 60's !! I understand her all too well. I know exactly why she wants to run wild. Her brain damage had destroyed that part of her brain that controls impulse control . She is selfish, one way, thinks only of her immediate needs and desires. She sees nothing wrong with going out to have sex with whoever she wants whenever she wants. What a life if we could all do that. Unfortunately, the world does not operate like that. Once a person gets past a certain childhood age we understand that we have to be responsible and start thinking of other people. In testing I had done with Kathleen I have gotten reports that her brain is functioning at anywhere from a 6 year old to a 15 year old. So yes, Florida is probably best for her. There is a distinct personality change between red neck hard core Oklahoma and more laid back liberal Florida. My regret is any possible trauma to Kade, but I think Kade is handling it pretty good. She is not bashful. The first time she understood that her mother was going to go to Florida she blew up at her and told her point blank that is she did leave that Kade didn't ever want to have anything to do with her again. Kade said this in an angry tone of voice, no holds held back in her anger. She didn't break out in tears, she just got mad and expressed her anger. And that's OK, that's the way it should be.
