    3. Sharon and Mellie If you get a new computer right now, it'll come loaded with XP. My husband uses it and so far has not bugs. I'm still using ME and it's fine too, but I've heard of problems. (I did have conflict with a game software, uninstalled the game and all is well again.) No big head here. All I know I got from my son. He's the knowledgeable one. <g> BTW, my son is moving to Cincinnati OH, leaving in a couple weeks *on my birthday!* I asked him "so how are you going to make this better??" What's a mom for if not an occasional guilt trip, eh? <G> I also asked him, since his girlfriend is going with him, why don't they just get married. He says they stay in separate rooms, 'cause she hogs all the blankets. Always the joker, that one. I can't comment on prices of rnew stuff, its darned expensive by US standards over this side of the pond. reformatting is a drag, but does put the PC back to "day one" and you can start afresh installing stuff. I am also running windows 98, and have no wish to change, never got to grips with win 2000, its more "office" style, and XP has a few gremlins left to be ironed out yet. beofre spending a lot of cash, that may or may not be within your budget, try the reformatting, and if its still a problem then look at a new PC, I doubt ath tsupport for 98 will die out for at least 3 years, after all win 95 is 7 years old now!
