Were both adopted by the DA? The movie was excellent. I agree with you - very disturbing to read that woman's attempt to kill her three children, only to get them out of the way of her romance with her married lover.     3. I think both were adopted by the DA and his wife. I never saw the movie. Just read the book...back when my baby was just a baby. Husband read it too...made his blood boil. If I remember right the married lover really didn't want her, with or without kids..what she did was really for nothing. Did you read the one last year about Tom Capano, Delaware district attorney who murdered the secretary of the governor? That was the height of arrogance. The law didn't apply to him.
