We had some Navajo neighbors for a while. They are still a "Matriarchal" society. The guy in the relationship had his job, she had hers. She paid for everything, he just hung around and when he wanted to take off, he was gone. For one I couldn't live with that. Being a Military wife could be compared, but Hubby always came home when expected, he is there when I need him. He retired six months after returning from Desert Storm.
