They do pay transcribers, to convert from whatever text it is in to Internet databases. Do they go to places and Microfilm records? Yes as long as there is a profit in it. Will genealogists use ancestry? YES, they have demonstrated they will. Is ancestry being deceptive in their ads and practices? That is a point of opinion. Will Ancestry automatically bill your credit card for a non-refundable renewal? YES. IF yoiu don't write (by USMail) 30 days before the expiration and CANCEL.(Better spend some extra and get it "certified" Return reciept requested. Jeffery G.
