    3. Some time ago our daughter and her three children were living with us.....and we kept the children while she (dau) worked.... One afternoon our grandson (age 6 at the time) was playing out in the front yard when a van stopped by the curb---the driver said, "Your mother sent me to pick you up and bring you to meet her at the mall." So Timmy (grson) said, "O K, but I have to go tell my grandpa." and he turned to run to the carport where Bob was working. As soon as he turned, the van drove off.....so we called the police and they got a fairly good description of the van, but never caught the fellow. Timmy told the police that he knew he didn't dare leave the yard without asking his grandpa because he'd already gotten in big trouble once before when he went off without permission. Sometimes it helps to be mean, I suppose....lol Doris....A Texan in Georgia..... Still shaking the family tree and dodging the nuts after 30+ years! IBSSG ----- Original Message ----- There is also the point that mst children who are abducted, or should I say suddenly disapear, are not taken by strangers, but by those known to them, and often to mom and dad too, which is why the child goes! Maybe the emphasis needs to change to "don't go anywhere with ANYONE" Mellie IBSSG
