    3. I sat here chuckling at all the experts comments about our food supply. Well I spent 23 years as a meat cutter and the last 17 years working in a packing house. My first couple of years was on the cleanup crew and let me tell you that the lab techs came around when we were done and took swabs of all the surfaces that came in contact with the product and if bacteria was present we were called on the carpet and after three times were fired. So you really have no idea but what you read and hear in the news media, which is all a bunch of hype to get you to watch their drivel. We have one of the best food supplies and the best protection for good clean product in the world. My final comment, the reason we cook food till it is cooked not half raw is to kill the harmful bacteria that may be present. And it makes no sense to wash the product as it doesn't make a tinkers damn worth of difference about bacteria that may be present. If you eat it rare then that is your problem not the food industries. Just my 2 1/2 cents worth -- Wild Bill, North Pole, Alaska Life is what happens to you while you're making other plans.
