This sounds like my family! We both have jobs - I run the house, responsible for the kids, my husband works for DEA - they call at anytime day or night - and off they go, for who knows how long. Requirement of his job is to keep a bag packed in his trunk at all times. Everytime we say goodbye, could be for hours - could be for days... etc...
