Jack, you could get a big dog or maybe *move*? I am too much a student of history to favor majority rule. There have been too many cases where the majority would have done the wrong thing. But I know what you mean anyway. Crime, especially against children, always brings forth strong emotions. Each case of an ex-convict should be judged individually. I personally think I should be allowed to possess a gun. I live in a large city where we have entirely too many home invasions, gang related drive by shootings, and I have a small child in my home. If I were to be home invaded there would be nothing I could do to defend us. I don't want to kill anyone. If I did it would be no problem for me to locate a gun to do it with, legal or otherwise. I know too many ex-convicts to ever have to worry about finding anything illegal to do !! I bet I could have an automatic weapon in my living room within 30 minutes if I so desired. But I am straight and clean because that's what I choose to be. And its the same with everyone. No one is upright because we have to be. We are so because we choose to be that way. By the way, I have a state senator interested in introducing a bill that would allow an ex-offender to obtain a gun after so many years of clean living. Probably won't ever get out of committee, but at least I am trying . It really worries me that I can't protect Kade in our home. You sure are big on Jack moving. Maybe he doesn't want to move. Of course I don't know what Jacks cermenstances are but I would not want to be run out of my home. There are bad people everywhere. Sometimes its better the devil you know than the devil you don't know. I do like the big dog idea, as long as it will attack on command and love the family. My brother had a dog like that a doby, best dog he ever had, the best temperament, but boy did he look and sound mean. Whitewolf ----- Original Message ----- From: "J.
