Hi Sue Your babies are adorable!!!! I just love those new little ones.....all wobbly legs and big eyes. It always amazes me how quickly mares recover and go right back to munching grass. Kind of, 'OK......Yawn......It's over...What's the fuss?' <g> In a message dated 5/7/03 8:36:25 PM, bsbates@netease.net writes: << Oh, how neat! Would that be considered a 'Sport Horse', Patricia? Bobby's mare is a very LARGE horse and 1/8 Thoroughbred at that. This filly of hers looks VERY Thoroughbred-type, like her mom. I'm not sure that the sire had any input at all into this baby! :-) Best, SueB >> The momma is a Perch - bred for dressage. The trend seems to be to breed them with thoroughbred to get a finer boned, very large animal - and I must say they do make striking dressage horses. I thought we'd have to get a stepladder for momma, Skye. This baby was so tall she had to bend really far to eat. <g> P
