WHOOPIE!!!! The ice went out on the Tanana River yesterday at 6:22PM. Still a chance of frost though for about another 3 weeks, temps from anywhere from 45- 70 and 30's at nignt. We are now at 17 hrs, of possible sunshine, in about 2 more weeks the sky will cease getting dark. Will stay light enough so all but the brightest stars are invisible and another 2 weeks and won'[t be able to see any stars till about the middle of August. I love this time of the year in AK.Been busy the last 4 days trying to get all the leaves raked up on my acre of land, not the whole acre, where the trees are thick I just leave them.
