    1. Re: [BSChat] NO MAIL & Labor Day Reunion
    2. Wonderful Labor Day. I spent the day in Savannah ,Georgia attending the annual Labor Day Reunion of the Ga Salzbugers. Any descendents on this list? A wonderful reunion, with thousands of people from everywhere. American Revolution reacted, etc on the Savannah River. Homemade lemonade made in a whiskey barrell, Ancestor cemetery close by, Museum opened, syrupmaking, cane grinds and new geneaoglical discoveries and friends made. I also purchased two Historial Books of the history of the Salzburgers and my ancestor Peter Gruber to read. The Salzburgers were responsible for the first orphanage, school, and grist mill in Georgia. The site of the first ophangage still stands. Later during the day exactly at 4:00 P.M. Geneaolgist started arriving from the Savannah Ga list at Tubby's Tank House located on the intercoastal at Thunderbolt Island, Ga for a rocking chair get together and wonderful seafood. Some came from as far away as Kentucky and I met a distant cousin for the first time. He is a wonderful geneaolgist and shared a family cementery survey with me. Bonadventure was close by also, and I visited an Aunt, she gave me new names to help break a brick wall and my paternal side of the family. I am busy the rest of this week doing fall cleaning, instead of spring. Sunday it will be a home football game to attend. The BS list is doing a great job. I love the stories of the ancestors.
