I found Sue's trivia interesting...NOT to open a debate, but just another little bit of trivia in light of yesterday's events: Separation of church and state DID NOT MEAN that our forefathers were trying to ban prayer from public places (schools, etc.). They were trying to avoid a "national religion," such as making every American Catholic, or Muslim, or whatever... AGAIN, not as a debate. Just another bit of trivia. Sue G. IBSSG < The U.S. Congress passed a law in 1832 requiring all American citizens to spend one <day each year fasting and praying. For the most part, people ignored the law, and no <effort was made to enforce the legislation.
