    1. Re: [BSChat] ghosts , haunted houses & people
    2. Ilived in a haunted house in Van Nuys California. The Home was builtin teh late 1800s and was the Sheriff's home which was adjacent to the Jail. The Jail itself was long gone, but we kept finding various weapons buried in the yard, swords, old revolvers and things like that. The house was haunted by a spirit we all called "Paul". Paul would open doors and windows ( the sliding sash type) He would open the refrigerator, and dump the liquids out on the floor. Sometimes he would close a door if you asked him. Paul was with us for the 4 years we lived there, and when we moved, we missed him. There were also some "evil" spirits there, and there were spontaneous fires, and my younger brother could "see" witches in the house, that no-one else could see. When the fires occured you could walk up to them and the area aroound the fire was ice cold until you came really close, then the heat was intense. The favorite thing to burn was window curtains, we finally took them all down. The "witches" lived in a closet, in my brother's room. he says they were about 8-10 inches tall and there were three of them. He couldn't sleep at night because they were always chattering. It was a very scary experience for him. Jeffery G. Something about "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy." Methinks I shall agree with ol' Will on that one. Best, SueB
