I guess I'd better clarify how I feel. I'm plain of two minds about these laws because I think they serve a useful function as long as they are not themselves used for witchhunts, which they only occasionally are. The teenagers of teh Roswell program could bring people back from the dead, heal the sick, repaint rooms with their minds, make it snow, get into peoples' minds, and predict the future, and one of them solved a kidnapping by psychic visions. She was interrogated to death by town officials and then the FBI, and I think noone will deny it's a good thing she could validly have taken the fifth amendment. We aren't talking about oigi boards adn dousing. The youngsters tehmselves came to the conclusion that healing people who have fatal illness or whose time it is to die goes against the laws of nature. Human nature is such that such powers can be used mostly inappropriately, and I think having laws to kind of keep such things a private matter are not a strictly bad thing.
