Hey Sue, This came at a 'great' time for me, because I quickly 'reflected' on the past weekend at the 137th Scottish Games held in Pleasanton, CA. There were over 800 musicians performing the grand finale--Amazing Grace was played at first by a lone bagpiper and then a verse played by the massed bands (35 bands plus the Marine Corps and a Scottish Military Band) and then back to the lone piper. So "Mace" not only gave me a chuckle, but revived my memories of a wonderful weekend!! If you have ever been to one of these gatherings, you will know how inspiring it is to watch the Scottish display their pride in their heritage. On Sunday they had a couple of senators as guests. One announced that the State of California is now a Clan of its own, even having its own tartan and coat of arms. This Clan was created for those who cannot find their name listed in any of the numerous Scottish Clans and who want to celebrate the weekend recognized as a "Clansman". These Pleasanton Games are the biggest in North America and is referred to as the "Granddaddy of the Games"! I have been attending them for the last 23 years and look forward to Labor Day like a child looks forward to Christmas! So thanks very much for sharing this cute joke! >So thanks very much for sharing this cute joke! Patsy in the Golden State Wine Country< You're more than welcome, Patsy! Glad you enjoyed the joke and that it brought back such pleasant memories for you. I've never attended one of those clan gatherings but one day I hope to. My birthmother's maiden name was McArthur. I think that's a really good indication that I belong there!! I do have a copy of the McArthur coat of arms, badge, and a print of the tartan. That's a start!! ;-) Best, SueB
