Most Apaches were friendly enough...they got a very bad reputation from those attempting to "appropriate" their hunting lands and burial grounds. As perspective, think how you would feel if people who were alien to you were trying to take over your home and the cemetery where your ancestors were buried. Would you be friendly to the interlopers who were trying to do away with your very lifestyle & all the sacred burial grounds? I would doubt it! Mike, IBSSG PS: this is not a flame, but few of the non-native Americans (i.e., descendants of immigrants from Europe, Asia, & Africa) realize just how intrusive their ancestors were to the indigenous peoples. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Faye Parker" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, September 07, 2002 10:59 AM Subject: Re: [BSChat] ghosts & flying saucers > Just a weird thought!!!!!!Were they peaceful? > > Am Southern born and bred and darn proud of it Am researching maternally:ballard,briley,clubbs,george,gillihan,goolsby,jackson,link(9x),ma jors,pool/poole,summers,thompson > paternally:ausbrooks, barber,:brown, freeland, gant, kirkham, mcquiston, moye, park er,rippy, tipton, whitson > > Brenda Parker proud member of the IBSSG > > > --------------------------------- > Do You Yahoo!? > Yahoo!
