    3. Yeah, it sure does scare the hair off of you to drive dangerously down the grapevine. What made it so bad was that the driver would not stop ! He could have, but was trying to make it. His brakes were not totally out, but were cutting in and out....brakes one second, no brakes the next. This was in the late 50's. His headlights were not the big bright ones they have today, it was raining, pitch dark, and I kept trying to get him to stop and at least let me out, but he wanted to get to the bottom and said he could make it. And wouldn't you know it, the only times his brakes gave out were when another vehicle was coming toward us or when we were at a sharp curve with a steep drop off the side of the road. Nothing like looking down 19 million miles of sheer cliff side in a truck with faulty brakes ! I didn't cuss at the time but I did I sure would have filled his ears full over that. When I finally got on solid ground I was so thankful ! Looking back on it it was kind! of funny when we stopped. As I said, I didn't cuss, but I sure gave him a piece of my mind, useless probably, because I was telling him how awful he was, that I would never ride in his truck again, how could he put my life in such danger, just throwing a regular fit ! He probably thought he had given a ride to a choir boy !!! Jack Childers in OKC

    3. Jack it seems like you have had a angel with you for a lot of years, by all rights you should have been dead several times.
