When driven properly, you know shifted where is demanded. LOL It was very reliable and a dream to drive. Now if you want to talk about a difficult car. Mainly personality. LOL 1958 Austin Cambridge, 4 - speed standard, on the column, backwards shift pattern. This little gray mouse had a hidden air bubble in the hydraulic lines. Thank heaven it only affected the clutch, that was enough. The clutch had to be pumped until you could feel it disengage. I took my driving test in this one. Can you imagine the emergency stop? I did explain to the UHP officer (Utah Highway Patrol) about the clutch, he told me if I could drive it and pass he wouldn't say anything. I passed. ROFL That was Sep 1966.
